The owner of Cottonwood Hot Springs has until April 21 to bring the bridge over the creek between CR 306 and the hot springs property up to code before the county takes action itself, according to a letter from the Chaffee County Building department to Catherine Manning dated March 21.

The U.S. Forest Service, San Isabel National Forest-Salida and Leadville Ranger Districts are planning prescribed burns in Chaffee and Lake Counties in October-November, 2017.  Temporary road closures will be necessary to provide for public and firefighter safety.
