Buena Vista’s board of trustees kicked off their Comprehensive Plan development with a work session and public meeting Nov. 30, sharing their visions for town and hearing input and feedback from the community.

As Buena Vista continues to grow, the town is expecting five major additions to multifamily housing. Though most projects won’t be completed until at least 2024, the developments will add around 370 new apartments once completed.

Buena Vista Recreation was awarded a Safe Routes to Schools grant in 2015 allowing them to buy 24 bikes and a storage shed at Avery-Parsons Elementary School.

With these resources, BV Recreation formed the Buena Vista Bike Library that loaned out bikes to community members.
