Chaffee County Democrats will host a gathering to honor the leadership, dedication and tenacity of the grassroots organization Friends of Browns Canyon for their part in the protection of our local natural heritage.

Denver chef William Sims is preparing the meal. Keith Baker, executive director of Friends of Browns Canyon, will share his remarks, and select musicians will be on hand as well to provide entertainment.

The event is Saturday, July 25, at the BV Community Center. Dinner starts at 4:30 p.m., dancing ends at 9.

Tickets are $25 per person, but children under 12 can eat free with a parent’s ticket.

Price includes dinner, program and dancing, and can be purchased at Free The Monkey stores in Salida and BV.

Le’ Blaze will play from 7-9 p.m, and it is $5 per person at the door for dancing only.
