A Miraculous Birth

A quiet night, but not like any other,

As the darkness fell, a couple sought cover.

And yet, it was a strange and wondrous event

About to unfold to special people who were sent.

As angels rejoiced and sang beautifully in the sky,

A bright, magnificent star appeared, to guide men by.

This bright, luminous star shone brightly that night,

Beckoning shepherds and Wise Men to see the wondrous sight.

A humble stable with soft hay and a bed,

Welcomed the Christ child where He laid His little head.

In silence the animals gathered two by two,

They beamed with joy as they passed in review.

The baby’s name was Jesus, and those in attendance knew,

That He was the Son of our living God sent to save me and you.

He came to save all mankind as a baby at first,

To live among men and to quench everyone’s thirst.

He lived His life to give us meaning to ours in return,

Being saved by His grace and glory for what we all yearn.

May this Christmas put a fire in your heart and in your soul,

Being thankful and blessed for a life He made whole.
