Sage McGinnis

Lady Demon senior Sage McGinnis drives a kill across the net for a point.

The Lady Demons picked up another Tri-Peaks League win when they won 25-17, 25-16 and 25-12 at Ellicott Oct. 1.

Maddison Wagner led the team with 10 kills and Maddy McFee added nine of her own.

“Maddy (McFee) has started to settle in to her new position as an outside hitter,” said coach Jamie Page.

“Ruthie Molitor always brings a lot of energy on and off the court and she too has started to feel more comfortable with her new spot as a middle.”

Maddy Atha continued her role of getting the offense started with her passing and did that at a steady rate of 2.07.

Lindsey Pratt had 18 digs for the evening. Pratt served 10 points in a row in the third game including four aces.

“It is really a group effort by these girls,” stated Page. “When one shines the others are celebrating and helping them along the way. They are a fun group to coach and they work so hard.”

The team will host Manitou Springs on Thursday, Oct. 10 with the C-teams getting going at 4 p.m.

They travel to Lamar (12-2, 8-0) Saturday with the first games starting at noon.

They return home to host CSCS (14-1, 7-0) Tuesday, Oct. 15.
