76, loved to cook, crotchet, taxi around her kids.
Julia “Jill” Ann Carricato passed away on Sept. 10, 2019.
She was born on April 29, 1943, in Colorado Springs to Freeda and Dawsey Kitchen. She had three boys of her own and took on three girls when she married Stephen Carricato on March 7, 1981.
Jill was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.
Jill’s hands were rarely still. She loved to cook, crotchet, taxi around her kids and teach her grandchildren her many talents. If you didn’t know, she had claimed Mount Princeton as her mountain. It had a piece of her heart and she had thousands of pictures of it in every season.
She will be missed and survived by her husband Stephen Carricato; children Craig Waugh, Alan Waugh, Mark Waugh, Cary Carricato, Cristi Harrington, Stephanie Brower; her sister Judy Taylor; eight grandkids and a host of good friends.
She was preceded in her death by her mother Freeda, father Dawsey Kitchen and brother James Kitchen.
Her memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Church of Christ in Buena Vista.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mountain View Church of Christ or Bonfils Blood Center.
