Codi Nicole Miller passed away Thursday morning, June 20, 2019, at her home in Guymon, Okla.
The daughter of David and Susan (Burns) Miller, was born Oct. 27, 1994, in Salida.
Growing up on a ranch in Buena Vista, she raised steers, sheep, goats and pigs as part of the 4-H program. Codi loved agriculture and showing cattle, which is why she also showed at the Colorado State Fair, National Western Stock Show and the Arizona National.
Codi graduated from Buena Vista High School in 2013. She attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas graduating with a degree in Agricultural Communication and Media in May 2017. She moved to Guymon from Amarillo, Texas in January of 2018.
She is survived by the love of her life, Nick Witte of Guymon; her parents, David and Susan Miller of Paonia; sister, Brandi Miller of Louisville, Ky.; brother, Danny Shuss (Katy) of Cañon City; grandmothers, Marguerite Miller of Buena Vista and Dee Burns of Paonia; uncles Kenny Burns (Teresa) and Karl Burns (Joetta) all of Paonia; aunts, Dawn Miller of Carbondale and Sandra Speer (Nevil) of Bowling Green, Ky.; cousins, Klayton (Sonya) of Chula, Ga., Kacie Sallee (Cade) of Fowler, and Lydia Speer of Bowling Green, Ky.; nieces, Brooke, Jordyn and Morgyn Martinez of Cañon City; second cousins, West and Nora Jane Burns and Colby, Will and Lauren Grace Godwin all of Chula, Ga.
A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, July 20, at 6 p.m. at David and Susan Miller’s Ranch, 12847 3900 Road, Paonia. All are welcome to attend. Here we will celebrate her life and all the lives she impacted.
Memorials in memory of Codi may be given to Brent’s Place in Aurora or the West Texas A&M Agriculture Department. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
