Joseph Booth, 69, accomplished artist in oil and acrylic landscape paintings worked for U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Department of Defense

Joseph W. Booth, of Buena Vista, died suddenly in unincorporated Park County Sept. 20, 2012.  

He was born Mar. 17, 1943, in Colorado Springs, to Joseph and Maedell Booth.  

Joseph graduated from Wasson High School in Colorado Springs in 1964. He worked for U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Department of Defense, served in Army National Guard and Air Force Reserves as Facilities Engineer at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver. and at the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He retired in 2006.  

During his working years he built the family home in Chaffee County. He was an accomplished artist in oil and acrylic landscape paintings of Colorado and Canadian Rockies.  

He is survived by brother John E. Booth, American Canyon, Calif.., nephew Patrick J. Booth, American Canyon, Calif., sister-in-law Vorawannee Booth, American Canyon, Calif., niece  Suvera Sompong, Santa Barbara, Calif., niece Sanhalak Downs, Las Vegas, Nev.  

Preceded in death by his parents. Private cremation was held. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.  Arrangements provided by Runyan Mortuary with online condolences at RunyanMortuary.com.
