Parked campaign vehicles not a violation

Posted: Thursday, September 27, 2012 8:00 am

Cars for sale may not be parked on public property but campaign vehicles or other operable vehicles may be parked on public streets indefinitely, town administrator Sue Boyd clarified Sept. 25.

The Town of Buena Vista board of trustees adopted a new section to the town parking code June 26 that made it unlawful to sell vehicles on public property. Trustees adopted the new section to discourage residents from selling vehicles at the corner of West Main Street and U.S. 24, next to McPhelemy Park.
