AVHS kittens need homes

An arrival of kittens over the past several months has resulted in a record 50-percent increase in the number of homeless felines at Ark-Valley Humane Society compared to this time last year.   Currently 90 felines are being cared for by shelter staff and foster care volunteers.   Of these, 36 are adult cats and 54 are young kittens.  Wednesday, August 11, 2010 More...

Heat stroke can be a danger to dogs left in parked cars

Games, crafts, pizza planned for children during parents night out

Thursday night's Concert in the Park July 22 brings Joyful Noise performing gospel music at 7 p.m. Weather permitting, the concerts are held in Forest Square Park.
