Thomas 'Dutch' Ottinger
Thomas "Dutch" Ottinger of Buena Vista died quietly at home on Saturday, July 3, 2010.

He was born June 20, 1921, in Dennis Township, N.J. Dutch is survived by his wife, Anne, and three children, Cheryl Ottinger, Jennifer Ottinger and Albert Ottinger.

Dutch was a retired U.S. Air Force navigator and bombardier and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2169 in Milleville, N.J.

He was also a local favorite at Buena Vista's Gold Rush Days celebration for many years, and was well loved by the community. A memorial service will be held at the VFW post in Johnson Village at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2010.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the local VFW post, American Legion post or Angel of Shavano Hospice.
