Trustees will hear a report on the budget projections for the next 5 years when they next meet Aug. 13, said town administrator Phillip Puckett.
On the agenda for next Tuesday evening’s meeting is a pre-budget kickoff talk about town treasurer Michelle Stoke’s projections for the revenues and expenses over the next five years.
Puckett said that the data will help trustees make decisions on a number of large scale projects the town has its eye on.
Stoke has repeated her prediction during several budget presentations that the United States will face an economic recession in the next few years.
Also on the agenda is Becky Gray, the director of Chaffee County’s Office of Housing, to give an update on a grant her office received from the Colorado Department of Public Health.
Puckett said Trustees may also ask Gray about affordable housing options on several lots the town owns, including a small remainder of property from the Collegiate Commons apartment complex.
