The Buena Vista High School cross country teams ran at the Lake County Invitational Aug. 31.
The Lady Demons took third place while the boys finished fifth. The girls finished behind two larger schools, D’Evelyn and Green Mountain.
The top finishers for the girls were Mallory Salazar in fifth and Molly McMurry in sixth. Salazar ran the course in 23 minutes flat and McMurry in 23:14.
Rosston Sherlock was 11th to lead the Demons and Issac Hutchings was 16th. Their times were 20:04 and 20:29 respectively.

The teams will next compete at Heritage on Saturday, Sept. 7 starting at 9:30 a.m.
