On June 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. a representative from Ark-Valley Humane Society will be at High Country Bank at the Salida location, accepting pet food. High Country Bank will donate a dollar for every pound of pet food, up to 500 pounds, to AVHS.

AVHS asks for Purina One or Purina ProPlan pet foods for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens, both wet and dry.

There will be 50 free microchip coupons and 50 free engraved pet name tags available at this event, donated by High Country Bank.

“We’re excited that High Country Bank is hosting this event, and just in time for our busier summer months,” AVHS Outreach Coordinator Emy Luebbering said.
