Chapter IA of P.E.O. International is pleased to announce our scholarship winners for 2018.

The Dorothy J. McGowan Memorial Scholarships were awarded to Michaela Hertrich, currently attending Colorado Christian University, and Ashley Dawn Reynolds, who graduated from Chaffee County High School and has enrolled at Red Rocks Community College.

The Jean Warner Carpenter Scholarship was awarded to Callie Shannahan, a Buena Vista High School graduate who will be attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as she pursues a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

The chapter awarded the Jean Lowe Memorial Scholarship to Elizabeth Wiswell, also a BVHS graduate. Elizabeth is heading to Fort Lewis College to study Environmental Science. Catherine Becker is the recipient of the Marilyn Plumb Memorial Scholarship.

The chapter offers its congratulations to these accomplished and deserving young women. P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization that awards scholarships to graduating high school-aged women, as well as grants and low-interest loans available to women of all ages pursuing higher education goals.
