The October quilters meeting will be on Oct. 14 at the Poncha Springs Town Hall just off Highway 50 at 330 Burnett Ave.

Networking, coffee and treats begin at 9 a.m. followed by the meeting/program. Our program will feature Kathy Tolbert from Santa Fe.

Kathy has been quilting for 25 years. With a background in web and graphic design, designing quilt patterns comes naturally to her. Both require the use of math and logic along with color and design principles.

She has been teaching quilting for over 10 years and has shown quilts at local and national quilt shows including the Houston International Quilt Show.

She will present a trunk show of quilts. She will teach a Santa Fe Settings workshop making improvisational art quilt panels that can be wall hangings or function as place mats on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning at the same location.
