McGinnis Middle School raised a grand total of 1,444 cans and non-perishable food items for this year’s canned food drive.  It wasn’t quite a record, but still a very impressive total.

Mrs. Hankins’s advisory alone collected around 650 items and Mrs. Jacobson’s advisory collected around 250.  The 8th grade won the competition between the classes.

This was a great example of the Character Centered education during BV Cares Week here at the middle school.  Thanks to everyone for helping to encourage the students to bring in the items.

All items were donated to the Arkansas Valley Christian Mission, who reported that their cupboards were extremely bare for this time of year.  They were very thankful.
