The Chaffee County Writers Exchange offers the November WE Write session, Saturday, Nov. 9, 9 a.m. to noon in Buena Vista at the Sangre de Cristo Electric Association’s community room.

WE Write group writing sessions are always free and open to the public. This session will be led by Judy Butler, a fun writer, avid reader and resident of Buena Vista with part-time status in West Melbourne, Fla.

The topic is “The Word Button – Push it!” Let’s have some creative fun with single words. Every great story begins with one word. What will be your story? Let’s find out with Judy Butler.

Bring a snack to share for a morning break and remember to BYOC (Bring Your Own Coffee). Bring paper and a writing instrument. This will be an exercise in creative writing.

Please be respectful of the group and refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes as some attendees have allergies.

Exercises will be based on Natalie Goldberg’s method for writing freely and spontaneously. Attendees may volunteer to read what they write, but there is no criticism of their work.

The Chaffee County Writers Exchange fosters writing and encourages publication through the sharing of resources and information.

RSVP: info@CCWritersExchange.org – seating is limited.
