Chaffee County Public Health’s Environmental Health Program has been undergoing a local needs assessment to determine expanding its current programming and is requesting additional community input on the state of the county’s environmental health – concerns, trends, priorities and other issues that may significantly impact the quality of our lives and our surrounding habitat – the place we call home.
Through several community engagement events, CCPH wants to hear from the community at large to help meet its needs in this strategic planning process. The events are intended to: Confirm that CCPH and community partners are on the right track, affirm that there is community support for Environmental Health Promotion and Protection and justify the critical importance of Environmental Health, while broadening our understanding of local Environmental Health needs and desires.
The community engagement events will be conducted throughout the day on Tuesday, July 9 according to the following schedule:
• 9-10:30 a.m. at the Salida Community Center, 305 F St., Salida.
• 12:30-2 p.m. at the Poncha Town Hall building, 330 Burnett Ave., Poncha Springs
• 3:30-5 p.m. at the Buena Vista Watershed building, 410 E. Main St., Buena Vista
